All the new features that were announced.
The IPhone 3GS will be have faster speed (the “s” stands for speed), a longer battery life and a video camera. It will allow MMS visual text messages (the ability to send and receive pictures and audio clips) unlike the previous iPhone 3g. It will be lighter and has the ability to tether it to a PC to share internet connection. But the the biggest surprise is that the “older” model will sell for $99 for the 8GB.
When I say iPod it can be either iPod or iPhone.
I do not recommed this because if u do something wrong u will have to restore u iPod (that is how I messed up my iPod this is my guide).
If u have it jailbroken and if not u can’t
If so u have to use ssh (need to know how to do) but first go on cydia and download boss pref and when it is done go to the app and turn on ssh and then open winscp for windows and press new add and go to setting on ur ipod and click on wifi tab and click on a wifi u are connected to and look at ip address and type (make sure u type the periods) that all in on ip address (i think or if not it is host) on the space on the winscp program and then type root in host and the password is alpine no caps then press connect u might have to try 4 or 5 times and then go and on the right is ur iPod directory and left is computer directory and the go on the right look at to u should see a back arrow by a folder and the folder says… And keep on clicking that until u go althway out until u see a application folder and click on it and delete the on u want and make sure u keep a copy of which one u want to delete.
The App Store and all of the new software features will be available on the original iPhones through a free software update. The only thing you’re getting with the new iPhone 3G is the extra speed and GPS and better battery life. The software is the same.
So even if you don’t buy the iPhone 3G, you’ll have the App Store, enterprise email support, the scientific calculator, etc.
some guy below said that the “Upgrades” will only be available with the new Iphone 3GS, but if you already have the Iphone 3G all you need to do is upgrade with the new software and all the new features will be added to your phone. at least thats what the guy at the Aple store toldme…
I would sell your current 3g model now but beware. The new 3GS is only $199 for new contracts and only for those with a “few” months left on their contract. Otherwise it is $399 for the 16GB and $499 for the 32GB. If your contract is almost up then upgrading would be worth it for the newer features but if it isn’t then don’t even attempt!! Hope this helps :)
